Obedience and AKC Certification Titles

Obedience and AKC certification classes help build the communication, focus, and reliability needed for a well-mannered companion and working partner. At Night Stalker Guardians LLC, our training approach emphasizes clear communication and a strong bond, supporting dogs as they develop the skills needed for certification and titled performance. Depending on the level of certification, some AKC programs may require an AKC number, PAL, or Canine Partner registration.

AKC OBEDIENCE AND TITLES AVAILABLE

STAR PUPPY - S.T.A.R." stands for Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsibility, highlighting both the puppy’s development and the owner’s role in raising a well-behaved dog. Eligibility: Puppies under one year old, including purebreds and mixed breeds, can participate

The AKC Canine Good Citizen™ (CGC) program provides a perfect framework for training your dog to become a polite member of society. Eligibility: CGC is open to all dogs–purebred and mixed breed. There are no age minimums or limits for participating in the Canine Good Citizen program.

Community Canine, Advanced CGC-the advanced level of AKC’s Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program. Eligibility - To earn the AKC Community Canine title, dogs must meet the following two requirements: Must have their CGC and Must have an AKC number of one of 3 types (AKC registration number, PAL number, or AKC Canine Partners number). All dogs, including mixed breeds, can get an AKC number.

AKC Urban CGC - requires that the dog demonstrate CGC skills and beyond in a setting that includes traffic, crowds, noises, smells and other distractions that are present in a city or town. AKC Urban CGC is a public access test that demonstrates dogs are well-behaved and well-trained when in public setting. Eligibility: Must have their CGC and Must have an AKC number of one of 3 types (AKC registration number, Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) number, or AKC Canine Partners number). All dogs, including mixed breeds, can get an AKC number.

AKC Trick Dog - There are 5 Trick Dog Titles. Eligibility: If a dog has a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate or title on record at AKC, it can do 5 Novice tricks (CGC + 5) to earn the Novice title.
